Alliance for Sustainable Air Transportation
The Alliance for Sustainable Air Transportation (ASAT) is a non-profit, public-private partnership working to implement sustainable, environmentally sound and economically viable air transportation. ASAT partners include federal, state, and local government entities, the private sector, and academic institutions.
We recognize that our air transportation system must meet growing capacity requirements while reducing impact to the environment. Through our Working Groups and programs, we are working to accelerate implementation of the Next Generation Air Transportation System (NextGen). Our goal is to realize the economic and environmental benefits of NextGen - before the situation becomes critical -- for stakeholders in the air and on the ground.

California as a NextGen Test Bed

ASAT has established a Community of Action (COA) focused on developing strategies and plans to help California become a test bed for NextGen. The NextGen Test Bed in California COA is bringing together participants from the federal government, California state and local governments, airport authorities, other California stakeholders and industry.
